Writing splurge! Stuff I just found on my hard drive. Here are some fics/writing that either a) are never going to be finished or b) I'd forgotten I'd written in the first place. :D? Obviously all unbetaed, etc. And some of them end in the middle of a sentence, because that's how I roll, baby.

3. Original fic, college story. )

4. More original fic. )

7. Brendon/Spencer that might have ended up being my stuffsit fic last Christmas. High school AU. )

A little bit of fic from my hard drive.

This one was supposed to be a kind of Lord Peter Wimsey-esque story in which Spencer was Brendon's valet, and Brendon was some kind of private detective. I may return to this at some point, but WIP amnesties are sometimes a good idea, especially when writing anything at the moment feels like pulling teeth. Maybe it'll inspire me :)

1000 words, unfinished, Brendon/Spencer.

Here are some historical AU stories that I would read the fuck out of this afternoon:

Don't even ask where half of these came from. )

That last one might need a little work.

In other news, I would kill for a bottle of Coke Zero and a Tunnocks Teacake right about now. When I grow up, I would like to be a Tunnocks Teacake.

Pretty much all of my stories and not!fics from the past twelve years or so are now up on archive of our own. Hurrah. One day I will put up the lotrips university AU I wrote in bits and pieces, too, but that's about twenty stories, so it'll wait a while. I chose not to upload the unfinished multi-part story in which Arthur Weasley is symbolic of a homophobic wizarding world, and Percy and Oliver have to pretend to be platonic flatmates instead of the longterm boyfriends that they really are. I think the world does not need to be reintroduced to that. Sorry to anyone who is subscribed to me and who ended up having a gazillion updates as I uploaded my back catalogue. /o\ There's a lot of unbetaed not!fics up there too, but they should be warned for, in case that's not your thing.

Anyway! In going through my journal to find a particular not!fic (seriously, I could write EVERY STORY about kids sneaking off to secretly get married and then breaking up and then being stupidly in love and fighting and coming back together later) I found a post with a ton of harlequin summaries that I would like to read.

IN FACT, I REALLY WANT TO READ THIS STORY, INTERNET.

Millionaire lawyer Spencer Smith prefers to spend Christmas alone, usually working. Only when he rescues a guy-in-distress (what's the equivalent of damsel? Brendon?) - along with his adorable baby Annie - and finds himself driving them home for the holidays, he feels strangely drawn to this tiny little family.

Brendon hopes to make a home for himself and his baby back in his home city of Las Vegas, but soon he knows that only being with Spencer can make his family complete. Brendon's dearest wish soon becomes that Spencer will stay for Annie's first Christmas - and for ever!

Spencer never comes home to Las Vegas for Christmas, and now, sharing it with Brendon and Annie, and his parents and Brendon's parents... can he have finally found happiness - and a family - under the mistletoe?

AND SORT OF THIS ONE.

Brendon Urie hasn't laid eyes on his first love, Spencer Smith, since the terrible argument over musical direction that broke their band in two, four years before. But here Spencer was on his doorstep, looking devastatingly attractive (and a little bit pink across the cheeks and the nose, because it was cold in Chicago) and insisting they spend Christmas together. As the magic of Christmas casts its spell, as Spencer helps Brendon at the soup kitchen for disenfranchised Mormans, will Spencer claim Brendon, once and for all as his own?

I think mostly for this one I just want to write the actual fic of Brendon and Spencer, teenagers in love, secretly getting married. And then breaking up because of misunderstandings. And then getting back together.

For those of you playing along at home with my endless quest to find the perfect slouchy soft-to-the-touch handbag, I have indeed purchased a semi-perfect slouchy bag. It can't fit my lunch in it, but whatever, it is blue and slouchy with a red lining and soft like butter, which was all I wanted. It is exactly the same bag as [livejournal.com profile] rachelinnyc purchased earlier in the week, but this is the one time in the world I am glad she lives on a different continent, because now our twin bags can live happy exciting lives on two different sides of the ocean.

So, in my head, the rugby verse stretches on and on and on. [livejournal.com profile] boweryd and I plotted out a college arc, right back before I'd even got half way through writing You Can Sit Beside Me (spoiler: it involved collars). I have no idea whether or not I'll ever get as far as writing that out properly, since the idea of writing a college AU kind of scares me (high schools are okay! I have watched enough American high school dramas to have an idea of what goes on, but I suspect that college is a lot different to my four years in St. Andrews. Especially if Spencer's going to college and playing rugby. There's only so much I can fudge).

Anyway, at some point last summer I started writing a sequel to Running in Slow Motion, but then the ages got complicated. (How old should Spencer be at the beginning of senior year?! How old had I accidentally made him in the earlier stories?!) Anyway, I think I fucked it up, and it got complicated, and then I didn't write anymore. So here is the first 1500 words of the third part in the rugby verse, which I may or may not manage to complete, but it is Spencer's birthday, and the beginning of his senior year, and I don't promise that his age is right.

This isn't a rugby sequel, apart from how it is, or, a very rugby birthday.
Brendon/Spencer, PG-13, 1500 words.

Summary: "Oh my god," Spencer says, before Brendon's even had a chance to say hello. "My parents gave me a thesaurus for my birthday. A thesaurus."

A very rugby birthday )

So, occasionally I'm sorting out my computer and I come across stories that I started and then totally forgot about.

This is one of those times.

Bodyswap fic! Clearly started after I saw that fucking movie with Ryan Reynolds. (I see a lot of shit because I love Ryan Reynolds. It's a thing).

Bodyswap. Brendon, Spencer, 876 words )

:D? /o\

HEY, I SAW PANIC TWICE THIS WEEK AND THEY WERE PRETTY AWESOME. (I'll recap soon, I promise).

So, I was having a perfectly normal email conversation with [livejournal.com profile] hermette, and then this happened. I wrote a thing.

I like to call it "Regency hurt/comfort angst-filled melodrama", which is as good a title as any.

Brendon/Spencer, 2163 words.

In which Spencer's marriage is arranged, and his wedding day is fast approaching, only the person he is marrying is not Brendon.

For [livejournal.com profile] hermette.

let's go straight into the angst, shall we? )
sunsetmog: (Panic - Spencer in panties)
There is no point to this post at all.

For [livejournal.com profile] fictionalaspect, since we are chatficcing some regency-esque* crossdressing breathless across the social divide stuff and these seem appropriate for the story in hand.

*yes yes, this film is not strictly regency period, but there are pretty dresses and coats with tails.

musical Cinderella )

....There's really no point to this post other than I like to think about Brendon in a dress and Spencer undressing him.
