Pretty much all of my stories and not!fics from the past twelve years or so are now up on archive of our own
. Hurrah. One day I will put up the lotrips university AU I wrote in bits and pieces, too, but that's about twenty stories, so it'll wait a while. I chose not to upload the unfinished multi-part story in which Arthur Weasley is symbolic of a homophobic wizarding world, and Percy and Oliver have to pretend to be platonic flatmates instead of the longterm boyfriends that they really are. I think the world does not need to be reintroduced to that. Sorry to anyone who is subscribed to me and who ended up having a gazillion updates as I uploaded my back catalogue. /o\ There's a lot of unbetaed not!fics up there too, but they should be warned for, in case that's not your thing.
Anyway! In going through my journal to find a particular not!fic (seriously, I could write EVERY STORY about kids sneaking off to secretly get married and then breaking up and then being stupidly in love and fighting and coming back together later) I found a post with a ton of harlequin summaries that I would like to read.
IN FACT, I REALLY WANT TO READ THIS STORY, INTERNET. Millionaire lawyer Spencer Smith prefers to spend Christmas alone, usually working. Only when he rescues a guy-in-distress (what's the equivalent of damsel? Brendon?) - along with his adorable baby Annie - and finds himself driving them home for the holidays, he feels strangely drawn to this tiny little family.
Brendon hopes to make a home for himself and his baby back in his home city of Las Vegas, but soon he knows that only being with Spencer can make his family complete. Brendon's dearest wish soon becomes that Spencer will stay for Annie's first Christmas - and for ever!
Spencer never comes home to Las Vegas for Christmas, and now, sharing it with Brendon and Annie, and his parents and Brendon's parents... can he have finally found happiness - and a family - under the mistletoe?
AND SORT OF THIS ONE.Brendon Urie hasn't laid eyes on his first love, Spencer Smith, since the terrible argument over musical direction that broke their band in two, four years before. But here Spencer was on his doorstep, looking devastatingly attractive (and a little bit pink across the cheeks and the nose, because it was cold in Chicago) and insisting they spend Christmas together. As the magic of Christmas casts its spell, as Spencer helps Brendon at the soup kitchen for disenfranchised Mormans, will Spencer claim Brendon, once and for all as his own?
I think mostly for this one I just want to write the actual fic of Brendon and Spencer, teenagers in love, secretly getting married. And then breaking up because of misunderstandings. And then getting back together.
For those of you playing along at home with my endless quest to find the perfect slouchy soft-to-the-touch handbag, I have indeed purchased a semi-perfect slouchy bag. It can't fit my lunch in it, but whatever, it is blue and slouchy with a red lining and soft like butter, which was all I wanted. It is exactly the same bag as rachelinnyc
purchased earlier in the week, but this is the one time in the world I am glad she lives on a different continent, because now our twin bags can live happy exciting lives on two different sides of the ocean.
