sunsetmog: (Panic - Spence & Bden jazz hands)
Oh my god, it's finally done. It only took five and a half months. As experiments go, posting as a WIP is not for me, this was waaaaaay too much pressure for me to put on myself. It made the long writer's block break in the middle really difficult. Having said that, it was nice to have a story build slowly, so swings and roundabouts.

I've posted parts seventeen and the epilogue simultaneously, for those of you who might feel confused.

Before I forget!

[livejournal.com profile] fire_juggler has made a podfic of (You're the) Frosting on my Cupcake (LJ | AO3).

Summary: Based loosely on this romance novel blurb: Brendon Urie would call himself an ordinary guy. Spencer Smith would call him stupidly hot, if he weren't about to destroy Brendon's career. A rich, successful journalist and food critic, Spencer aims to write a scathing review of Brendon's little muffin and cupcake shop. He never mixes business with pleasure. But the secrets Brendon's keeping intrigue Spencer, and his naivety has caught Spencer off guard. He's entranced with the little muffin cupcake shop and his neighbour Jon's coffee shop.

What's happened to him? He's being ridiculous! The Christmas-coated town has gone to his head. Spencer's best friend, literary critic Ryan Ross, thinks that the small-town boy has unlocked the city slicker's heart.

...Yeah, this is kind of but not quite that story.

You can find download links at her post here.

And part fourteen of The Holiday is up! I just forgot to post it here. /o\ I think it has two (or possibly three at the most) parts left.

Summary: In which it looks like snow, Avril Lavigne features rather more than Spencer would like, and Brendon has an unfortunate off-screen encounter with a bat.

LJ | AO3.

Now back to your regularly scheduled Monday morning.
sunsetmog: (Panic - Spencer whispering to Bden)

Part thirteen: LJ / AO3

sunsetmog: (Panic - Zack + Spencer)
Pretty much all of my stories and not!fics from the past twelve years or so are now up on archive of our own. Hurrah. One day I will put up the lotrips university AU I wrote in bits and pieces, too, but that's about twenty stories, so it'll wait a while. I chose not to upload the unfinished multi-part story in which Arthur Weasley is symbolic of a homophobic wizarding world, and Percy and Oliver have to pretend to be platonic flatmates instead of the longterm boyfriends that they really are. I think the world does not need to be reintroduced to that. Sorry to anyone who is subscribed to me and who ended up having a gazillion updates as I uploaded my back catalogue. /o\ There's a lot of unbetaed not!fics up there too, but they should be warned for, in case that's not your thing.

Anyway! In going through my journal to find a particular not!fic (seriously, I could write EVERY STORY about kids sneaking off to secretly get married and then breaking up and then being stupidly in love and fighting and coming back together later) I found a post with a ton of harlequin summaries that I would like to read.

IN FACT, I REALLY WANT TO READ THIS STORY, INTERNET.

Millionaire lawyer Spencer Smith prefers to spend Christmas alone, usually working. Only when he rescues a guy-in-distress (what's the equivalent of damsel? Brendon?) - along with his adorable baby Annie - and finds himself driving them home for the holidays, he feels strangely drawn to this tiny little family.

Brendon hopes to make a home for himself and his baby back in his home city of Las Vegas, but soon he knows that only being with Spencer can make his family complete. Brendon's dearest wish soon becomes that Spencer will stay for Annie's first Christmas - and for ever!

Spencer never comes home to Las Vegas for Christmas, and now, sharing it with Brendon and Annie, and his parents and Brendon's parents... can he have finally found happiness - and a family - under the mistletoe?

AND SORT OF THIS ONE.

Brendon Urie hasn't laid eyes on his first love, Spencer Smith, since the terrible argument over musical direction that broke their band in two, four years before. But here Spencer was on his doorstep, looking devastatingly attractive (and a little bit pink across the cheeks and the nose, because it was cold in Chicago) and insisting they spend Christmas together. As the magic of Christmas casts its spell, as Spencer helps Brendon at the soup kitchen for disenfranchised Mormans, will Spencer claim Brendon, once and for all as his own?

I think mostly for this one I just want to write the actual fic of Brendon and Spencer, teenagers in love, secretly getting married. And then breaking up because of misunderstandings. And then getting back together.

For those of you playing along at home with my endless quest to find the perfect slouchy soft-to-the-touch handbag, I have indeed purchased a semi-perfect slouchy bag. It can't fit my lunch in it, but whatever, it is blue and slouchy with a red lining and soft like butter, which was all I wanted. It is exactly the same bag as [livejournal.com profile] rachelinnyc purchased earlier in the week, but this is the one time in the world I am glad she lives on a different continent, because now our twin bags can live happy exciting lives on two different sides of the ocean.

Sequel to More Than You Bargained For.

Summary: "Come meet me at the mall after school tomorrow," Spencer says, all of a sudden. "Then we can come back to my place. And—you know."

"Practice," Brendon says lightly. He doesn't feel light.

"Practice," Spencer agrees, and for the briefest of moments, their gazes meet.

Or, alternatively, the working title for this fic: panties and lip gloss ii: revenge of the lip gloss.

oh gosh, so [livejournal.com profile] fictionalaspect and I made another thing. A fic thing!

...that is mostly ridiculous and the exact opposite of everything we've been posting at [livejournal.com profile] twotinydragons so far! :D?

Brendon's Tiny Dick Verse! by [livejournal.com profile] fictionalaspect and [livejournal.com profile] sunsetmog
Brendon/Spencer, SO VERY NC-17, ~19,000 words + a picspam

Warning: contains grammar and spelling mistakes, missing capitalization (from emails that were typed on phones/ipads/etc), no semblance of plot, POV or reliable verb tense, D/s dynamics, some BDSM, sexy humiliation, mild public humiliation, crossdressing, dirty talk, some watersports, possibly spanking (?), our weird obsession with the color pink, a few scenes that kind of remind us of forced fem dynamics without the "forced" part (i.e. this is all 100% consensual), cherry lipgloss, vibrators, handcuffs, collars, and too much capslock. Also: Brendon's tiny dick and the Spencers that love it.

Introduction and helpful picspam (WE ARE SORRY IN ADVANCE)

Part Seven
sunsetmog: (Panic - Spencer!haterblockers)
I am sure I am going to forget things, but fingers crossed I've caught everything.

HERE IS SOME STUFF THAT I WROTE AND THAT OTHER PEOPLE WROTE AND PODFICCED FOR ME. \o/

Yuletide:

I received Triolisme by Lisztful [Downton Abbey; Sybil / Branson; Sybil / Branson / Gwen]

When Sybil and Branson leave for Ireland, they do not go alone. This is what happens, after.

Eeeeeeeeee! This is the story of my heart. This is basically the story that [livejournal.com profile] katie__pillar and I used to email each other after every episode. Sybil and Branson leave to be together, and Gwen comes with them. LOVELY.

I wrote Belle Etoile for Kali. [Jilly Cooper novels, specifically Appassionata; Marcus Campbell Black / Alexei Nemerovsky; Taggie Campbell Black / Rupert Campbell Black; Rupert Campbell Black / Lysander Hawkley (sort of)]

After discharging himself from hospital and playing at the Appleton Piano Competition, Marcus wants nothing more than to go to Alexei.

After soliciting Rupert's help to get to the airport, Marcus is terrified in case Alexei isn't there to meet him in Moscow, and Rupert does his best not to show his despair at both winning and losing a son in the same day.

Set post-Appassionata.

This is the smallest fandom I've ever written for in Yuletide, or perhaps ever. Before Yuletide there wasn't a single piece of fic I could find anywhere, but now there are two. Hurray \o/ I read Appassionata waaaaaaaay before I found fandom, and my copy falls open in the parts where Marcus and Alexei fall in love, I read them so often. They have a happy ending and they're referred to in the following books, but they don't ever get a lead role again. You also get to see how strong the odd friendship between Lysander and Rupert is, and how strong Rupert and Taggie's relationship is - they get a happy ending in the second book, and get to be happy allllllllll the way through the subsequent books, day-to-day quibbles aside. So I got to write about all of those things, and it was fun. ♥

[livejournal.com profile] bandomstuffsit:

I received the wonderful, wonderful Better Days by [livejournal.com profile] cloudlessclimes on my birthday, no less. [Brendon/Spencer, frank discussion of drug use]

Spencer's fine. Really he is. He just needs a little something to take the edge off. Until Brendon finds out.

Seriously, broken!Spencer is one of my very favourite things to read about. I love it, so long as they fix him. This story caters to that so very, very well. I will read and re-read this. ♥

I wrote the times, they are a-changing, or: a modern marriage of convenience [Brendon/Spencer, contains spanking and some d/s]

Dallon has a suggestion: Brendon and Spencer are both single at Christmas, so they should hook up with each other.

I think this one was so obviously mine it probably had a neon sign from space above it. As my recipient dropped out I don't feel bad saying that I struggled with stuffsit this year - I wrote 15k of the story I'm currently posting - The Holiday - but it became very clear that story was mushrooming outside of something that could be finished in time for deadline (I still haven't finished it /o\), and it didn't quite fit the prompts. I ended up having to abandon that one and write this one in a couple of days. I couldn't say on the post, but I can't thank [livejournal.com profile] fictionalaspect enough for her last minute beta and edits.

Podfics

OH GOSH, PODFICS. ♥ I love podfics.

[livejournal.com profile] greedy_dancer podficced Adventures in Solitude (we thought we lost you). [Brendon/Spencer]

It's Christmas Eve, and Spencer Smith is not endearing himself to his staff. He's banned decorations, informed his PA that Starbucks red cups aren't welcome in the office, and refused to close early for the holidays. A sort-of Christmas Carol AU.

EEEE [livejournal.com profile] greedy_dancer has the most adorable accent, and this is wonderful.

[livejournal.com profile] knight_tracer podficced If You Stay by [livejournal.com profile] reni_days for me for my birthday, and as this is one of my favourite stories, I couldn't have been happier.

Uh. Idk, the original title of this doc was "The Accidental Un-Divorce Fic." =D?
[Brendon/Spencer]

♥ ♥ ♥ !!! ♥

And [livejournal.com profile] knight_tracer has also been podficcing Sea Change over the past few months, and now it is complete, and I have hearts for eyes.

After getting his heart broken, Spencer tries to start a new life without the band. This has a happy ending, I swear.

I love, love, love transformative works. LOVE.

GO FORTH AND ENJOY.
